About 33 kV Indoor Termination Kit for 3 Core XLPE Cable - Heat Shrink

The Gala GXE-31 to GXE-34 kits terminate 3-core XLPE or EPR insulated, shielded cable indoors on 19/33 kV systems: in 33 kV switchgear and panel cable compartments and in transformer cable boxes. They share their construction with the outdoor GXO-3x kits, adapted for indoor service.

Each core gets a stress control tube and stress control mastic to grade the electric field where the cable screen ends, and a red non-tracking tube over the insulation. A non-tracking breakout seals the crutch of the three cores, terminal sleeves and lug sealing tape seal the lugs, and the kit includes armour and screen earthing sets, terminal lugs, mastic sealing tape and installation aids: silicone grease, cleaning tissue, nylon string for cutting XLPE, emery tape and an illustrated instruction manual.

Four kit codes cover cable sizes from 25-50 sq mm to 240-400 sq mm. Outdoor kits for the same cables are GXO-31 to GXO-34.

Gala holds a POWERGRID manufacturer approval and a MECON vendor registration for cable jointing and termination kits up to 33 kV.

Installation is with a gas torch, following the instructions in every kit. Typical buyers are switchgear and panel builders, EPC contractors, industrial plants and substation contractors working at 33 kV.
