Gala cold shrink tube (GCTE) is an open-ended black EPDM rubber sleeve, expanded at the factory and held on a removable spiral core. It insulates and seals inline cable connectors and terminal lugs on low voltage cable up to 1.1 kV, copper or aluminium conductor, wherever a torch is unwelcome or a fast, consistent result matters.

Installation is quick and needs no heat, tools, mastic or tape. Slide the tube onto the cable, make the connection or fit the lug, centre the tube over the area to be sealed, then pull the core out counter-clockwise. As the core unwinds, the rubber contracts onto the cable and connector and forms a tight, water-resistant seal. The EPDM compound contains no chloride or sulphur.

Each tube is 500 mm long. Nine standard sizes cover cable and connector outside diameters from 8 mm to 141 mm, and three high shrink ratio sizes with a thicker wall take a wider range per tube for connectors much larger than the cable. Pick the size whose application range covers both the cable and the connector diameter.
