About PVC Pole Cap and Dock Pile Cap - Round and Square (GRPC / GSPC)

Birds perch and nest on flat pole and pile tops, and rain soaking into the end grain starts decay. Gala's PVC pole cap covers the top with a pointed shape that birds cannot sit on and that sheds rain.

The cap is moulded from specially formulated PVC. Round caps (GRPC) have a conical top and suit round poles and piles; square caps (GSPC) have a pyramid top and suit square posts and piles. Unlike Gala's heat-shrink pole cap, it is not heat-shrunk; it is a rigid cap that sits over the top of the pole.

Twelve round sizes run from GRPC 213 to GRPC 489 and seven square sizes from GSPC 235 to GSPC 483; the number in each code is the cap size D in millimetres. Wall thickness is 2.5 mm on smaller caps and 3.5 mm on larger ones. The material has a hardness of 65 +/- 5 Shore A.

Typical uses are wooden distribution poles, dock and jetty piles, marine pylons and square timber posts. Gala is an ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certified manufacturer.
