Not every cable or pipe end needs a permanent heat-shrink seal. For ends that must be protected during storage, transport or construction and opened again later, Gala's VINCAP is the quick answer: a cap moulded from specially formulated flexible PVC that is simply pushed on by hand.

No tools, heat or skill are needed, and the cap comes off again when the end is needed. It keeps weather, moisture, dust and contamination off cable ends, pipe ends, tube ends and machined parts, and it will not crack or split the way low-density polyethylene caps do. It costs much less than a heat-shrink end cap. Where a cut cable end needs a permanent watertight seal, use a Gala heat-shrink end cap instead.

The range runs from 4 mm to 914 mm internal diameter, in 77 sizes. Caps up to 8 mm are 25 to 35 mm long, 9 to 48 mm caps are 40 mm long, and lengths step up to 50, 60 and 63 mm on the larger sizes. Caps are black as standard; the sheet's photo also shows blue and red, and Gala makes custom sizes, lengths, thicknesses and colours, stating no tooling charge for different lengths and thicknesses.

Typical uses are cable end sealing on drums and in the field, pipe end covering, and protecting automotive and engineering parts.
