About Busbar End Cap - Flexible PVC Push-On (BUSCAP)

BUSCAP is Gala's push-on end cap for flat busbars. The open end of a busbar is the point most likely to flash over to an enclosure or a neighbouring phase, and it sets the clearance a panel has to be designed around. A cap moulded from flexible PVC, formulated for electrical insulation, covers that end and lets switchgear and panel builders work with reduced air clearance.

The cap is pushed onto the end of the bar by hand. It needs no heat, adhesive or tools, and it can be installed, removed and replaced in a few minutes, so bus ends can be opened for maintenance and capped again. It is suitable for indoor and outdoor use and resists UV and ozone.

Eighteen standard sizes fit busbars from 15 x 5 mm to 200 x 12 mm, with cap depths of 20 to 70 mm. Caps are made in blue, black, red, yellow, orange, green and dark blue, which also lets phases be colour-coded. Gala can develop new sizes, shapes and colours to order, typically within a week.
